Bridgett's Story
Are you looking for a well-mannered senior-cat companion! Meet Bridgett – a big, beautiful, snuggly senior tabby. Her recent foster shared “Bridgett is a love. She loves to chill on the couch and sleep the day away with you. She's a sucker for treats and will do just about anything to get one.” She enjoys hanging out with you (and your friends) and relishes loving pets – when she’s had enough, she will let you know. At bedtime, this big lady will demand to sleep nestled beside you. Although playing isn’t a huge priority for her, she does enjoy rolling around in catnip and hunting sunlight reflections moving on walls. Occasionally, she'll get zoomies and try her hand at parkour off the walls.
Are you Bridgett’s new family? Despite her friendly, easy-going nature she's not comfortable with children or other animals, so needs a pet-free, adults-only home to be her best self; so if you want a loving companion who'll seek affection with few limits, then you just might be!
Meet Bridgett
Welcome to our adoption event – Rescue Together, A Citywide Adoption Event – taking place on October 18th and 19th. Rescue Together is a community adoption event hosted by PAWS Chicago in partnership with Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and will include various local rescue shelters aimed at finding loving homes for more than 100 homeless pets in one weekend.
Over the past 28 years, PAWS and CACC have worked together to combat the homeless and at-risk pet population of Chicago.
This event will take place at PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center and CACC. PAWS Chicago will be waiving fees for select animals, CACC fees will be waived for the event and other local shelter fees will vary based on their pricing.
This cat is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting please follow the below steps:
1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
