Lazio's Story
We’ve all heard the phrase, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks,” but that couldn’t be further from the truth! Adult dogs have a great attention span and eagerness to please, allowing them to learn faster than more youthful members of their species. And trust us—there is no age limit on puppy dog eyes and zoomies! If you’re looking for a steadfast companion who will be truly grateful for a second chance at a happy life, look no further than an adult dog.

This pet will be at our Pup Pop-Up at the Mariano's Northbrook location Women's History Month Kickoff Party from 12-3 pm on Saturday, March 7th!
Interested in adopting this pet? Be sure to bring along all members of your household, including any resident dog(s) , to Mariano's Northbrook (784 Skokie Blvd, Northbrook, IL 60062).
If you’ve already visited our adoption center and have a printed copy of your application, bring it along! If not, you’ll complete an adoption application on-site to be considered for adoption. Please note we are unable to print or access your application off-site. Please print your application or complete a new one with us onsite.
If you don’t meet the perfect pet at our Pup Pop-Up at Mariano's, please schedule an adoption appointment to meet animals at our Lincoln Park Adoption Center (1997 N Clybourn Ave) or complete a Foster Pet Adoption Inquiry Form for animals in a foster home.
