Miranda's Story
Miranda has been described as “a great cat with a sweet personality” who may start out shy, but quickly warms up to new friends who are kind to her. Opening a can of wet food nearby will work wonders! Once she’s comfortable around you, Miranda will enjoy belly rubs and watching cat TV together. When she’s not by your side, Miranda’s favorite activities include crinkling paper bags, chasing toy mice, and scratching cat posts.
Are you Miranda’s new home? Her ideal family will be patient as she settles in and help her gain the confidence to interact with visitors. This outgoing and affectionate kitty also enjoys the company of other cats and has had positive interactions with dogs as well, so what are you waiting for!
Meet Miranda
Welcome to our adoption event – Rescue Together, A Citywide Adoption Event – taking place on October 18th and 19th. Rescue Together is a community adoption event hosted by PAWS Chicago in partnership with Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and will include various local rescue shelters aimed at finding loving homes for more than 100 homeless pets in one weekend.
Over the past 28 years, PAWS and CACC have worked together to combat the homeless and at-risk pet population of Chicago.
This event will take place at PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center and CACC. PAWS Chicago will be waiving fees for select animals, CACC fees will be waived for the event and other local shelter fees will vary based on their pricing.
This cat is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting please follow the below steps:
1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
