Edison's Story
Unlike his namesake, this Edison did not invent the lightbulb, but he’s constantly inventing new ways to make you smile! From the way he brings you his toys at playtime, to the way he lays on his back with all four paws in the air at bedtime, Edison will never fail to put a smile on your face! When Edison is not lounging around the house and being absolutely adorable, so of his favorite hobbies include, longs walks with ample sniff spots, shredding toys to pieces, receiving belly rubs, eating treats, and getting compliments on walks.
If you like your dogs housebroken, good alone, and very well-behaved, Edison is your guy! Edison is looking for a quiet, low-traffic environment where he’d be the only dog and may be ok with playful young cats who have lived with dogs before.
Meet Edison
Welcome to our adoption event – Rescue Together, A Citywide Adoption Event – taking place on October 18th and 19th. Rescue Together is a community adoption event hosted by PAWS Chicago in partnership with Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and will include various local rescue shelters aimed at finding loving homes for more than 100 homeless pets in one weekend.
Over the past 28 years, PAWS and CACC have worked together to combat the homeless and at-risk pet population of Chicago.
This event will take place at PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center and CACC. PAWS Chicago will be waiving fees for select animals, CACC fees will be waived for the event and other local shelter fees will vary based on their pricing.
This dog is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting please follow the below steps:
1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
