Franny's Story

As PAWS longest resident, Franny has celebrity status! She gets the best of everything- roof time fetch, walks, and the best collection of stuffed toys! Franny enjoys playing with them on her own and is happy for human pals to join in on the fun. She has a close-knit circle of friends as Franny likes to build trust with her human companions. If you are lucky enough to get behind the velvet ropes, you might just win Franny’s heart! Once you’re in, she really enjoys receiving affection on her terms. You will be greeted with full body wags, receive tons of kisses, and get her signature ‘lean’. Given her star status, life is pretty good for Franny at the shelter. Even so, this smart and beautiful girl with her big smile is ready to find her forever home. If Franny had her way, she would love a home in a quiet neighborhood and with a private entrance. It’d be easier to dodge the paparazzi in case the news of her arrival in your neighborhood leaks! Franny won’t expect the red carpet treatment from her family, just your patience, love, and a home to call her own.

Do you have a quiet home in a quiet, low traffic neighborhood? A home with a private entrance would be ideal. Are you an experienced dog owner who understands and respects a dog’s boundaries? Can you be patient and work to build a trusting relationship with Franny? You could be Franny’s perfect match and she’s excited to meet you!

Meet Franny

Welcome to our adoption event – Rescue Together, A Citywide Adoption Event – taking place on October 18th and 19th. Rescue Together is a community adoption event hosted by PAWS Chicago in partnership with Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and will include various local rescue shelters aimed at finding loving homes for more than 100 homeless pets in one weekend.

Over the past 28 years, PAWS and CACC have worked together to combat the homeless and at-risk pet population of Chicago.

This event will take place at PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center and CACC. PAWS Chicago will be waiving fees for select animals, CACC fees will be waived for the event and other local shelter fees will vary based on their pricing.

This dog will be available at the Lincoln Park Adoption Center (1997 N. Clybourn Ave)

You can view the Rescue Together website for all the event details: https://www.pawschicago.org/rescuetogether
