Isaiah's Story
“Belly rubs are the way to Isaiah’s heart!” says his former foster. Along with belly rubs, this boy also likes carrots, stuffed toys, and laying in the sun. He values his quiet time in his crate without interruption, which qualifies him to be the perfect work-from-home companion. He is expertly house trained and can be left alone for a few hours. He is comfortable with the run of the house or tucked away in the sanctity of his crate. He enjoys car rides and prefers to have the back seat to himself. He promises not to be a back seat driver!
This smart boy responds to Sit, Down, Stay and Come. He enjoys his daily walks in residential neighborhoods where he can focus on his leash skills with limited distractions. When meeting new people, he prefers to go at his own pace. Isaiah is a sweet soul looking for his new home. A family that can help him navigate the world around him while respecting his space will be a dream come true for him. Isaiah will happily snuggle into your life!
Meet Isaiah
Welcome to our adoption event – Rescue Together, A Citywide Adoption Event – taking place on October 18th and 19th. Rescue Together is a community adoption event hosted by PAWS Chicago in partnership with Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and will include various local rescue shelters aimed at finding loving homes for more than 100 homeless pets in one weekend.
Over the past 28 years, PAWS and CACC have worked together to combat the homeless and at-risk pet population of Chicago.
This event will take place at PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center and CACC. PAWS Chicago will be waiving fees for select animals, CACC fees will be waived for the event and other local shelter fees will vary based on their pricing.
This dog is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting please follow the below steps:
1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
