Etta's Story
Etta is a sweet and affectionate girl who also knows the art of amusing herself (and you) by throwing her toys and tennis balls to herself! Etta is also a super smart pup and already knows lots of commands, like “Sit”, “Stay”, “Heel”, “Down”, “Touch”, and “Paw”, in fact she is a very quick study and will pick up tricks and new commands very swiftly, especially if her favourite treats are on the line!
Etta can be a little shy and timid meeting new people and in new situations, so would likely need a little time to warm up at her pace, but it doesn’t take her long, and then she’ll be ready to shower you with all her love, and if you’re slow at responding, she’ll sweetly give your hand a little nudge for more pets! Etta is also an active and energetic girl, so would likely do best with an adopter who has a more active lifestyle and is willing to be patient with her, while she gets to know them.
Are you Etta’s new family? Etta is very smart, well-mannered in the home, housebroken and has a sweet personality. She is self-sufficient and able to entertain herself playing with her toys! Meet Etta
Welcome to our adoption event – Rescue Together, A Citywide Adoption Event – taking place on October 18th and 19th. Rescue Together is a community adoption event hosted by PAWS Chicago in partnership with Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and will include various local rescue shelters aimed at finding loving homes for more than 100 homeless pets in one weekend.
Over the past 28 years, PAWS and CACC have worked together to combat the homeless and at-risk pet population of Chicago.
This event will take place at PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center and CACC. PAWS Chicago will be waiving fees for select animals, CACC fees will be waived for the event and other local shelter fees will vary based on their pricing.
This dog is currently in a foster home. If you are interested in adopting please follow the below steps:
1. Start by taking our ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to each pet’s needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. After finishing the adoption application, complete the Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, our Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and reach out within a few days.
