Dakota's Story

Are you looking to find a pup ready to explore the neighbourhood’s wide-open spaces, before heading back to the range to snuggle on the couch? Then look no further, Dakota has all that covered and more! Dakota is a sweet, affectionate lady who’s housetrained, crate trained, knows commands like sit, stay, down, and wait, loves playing with tennis balls, snuggling, and giving lots of kisses. Dakota has lived happily with kitty siblings too. And if you’ve got things to do around the house, consider Dakota your assistant, she loves to be involved in everything you’ve got going on!

Dakota is quite a shy girl at first, especially with men and new people, (she would definitely thrive in an all-female household) but this cute pup soon warms up to show her loving and loyal nature.

Are you Dakota’s new family? If you don’t have a resident dog and are an adult-only household, then this sweet girl is just the lady for you!

Meet Dakota

Welcome to our adoption event – Rescue Together, A Citywide Adoption Event – taking place on October 18th and 19th. Rescue Together is a community adoption event hosted by PAWS Chicago in partnership with Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC) and will include various local rescue shelters aimed at finding loving homes for more than 100 homeless pets in one weekend.

Over the past 28 years, PAWS and CACC have worked together to combat the homeless and at-risk pet population of Chicago.

This event will take place at PAWS Chicago Lincoln Park Adoption Center and CACC. PAWS Chicago will be waiving fees for select animals, CACC fees will be waived for the event and other local shelter fees will vary based on their pricing.

This dog will be available at the Lincoln Park Adoption Center (1997 N. Clybourn Ave)

You can view the Rescue Together website for all the event details: https://www.pawschicago.org/rescuetogether
